About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven AdTech Product Manager to lead the development and optimization of advertising technology products with a company in the media and entertainment sector. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, sales, marketing, and analytics to design and deliver innovative ad solutions that drive audience engagement, revenue growth, and exceptional user experiences across various digital platforms (OTT, streaming, broadcast, etc.).
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy & Roadmap: Develop and manage the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our AdTech solutions, aligning with the business goals and the rapidly changing landscape of media and entertainment.
- Feature Development: Lead the ideation, development, and launch of cutting-edge advertising formats (e.g., dynamic ad insertion, programmatic buying, addressable ads, etc.) for digital and linear platforms.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, sales, marketing, and content) and external partners to identify product needs, align on priorities, and ensure timely and successful product delivery.
- Technical Integration: Work with engineering teams to implement advertising technologies such as ad servers, DSPs, SSPs, data management platforms (DMP), and customer data platforms (CDP).
- Analytics & Optimization: Analyze product performance and use data-driven insights to optimize ad products, increasing efficiency and improving ROI for clients. Monitor KPIs such as CPM, CTR, and viewability.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all ad products comply with industry standards (e.g., IAB, GDPR, CCPA) and work towards implementing privacy-first approaches to audience targeting.
- Market Research: Stay updated on the latest trends in AdTech, media consumption, and entertainment, and assess the competitive landscape to identify new opportunities.
Technical Requirements:
- Experience in AdTech: Deep understanding of digital advertising ecosystems, including programmatic advertising, ad exchanges, DSPs, SSPs, and ad trafficking systems.
- Ad Serving & Programmatic Platforms: Experience with ad servers (e.g., Google Ad Manager, FreeWheel, SpotX), programmatic platforms (e.g., The Trade Desk, Xandr), and data-driven targeting technologies.
- Media Platforms: Familiarity with video streaming, OTT, CTV, or broadcast technologies, and experience working with media formats such as VAST, VPAID, and VMAP.
- Data Management: Knowledge of data platforms such as DMPs, CDPs, and third-party data providers to facilitate audience segmentation, tracking, and retargeting.
- API Integration: Experience working with RESTful APIs to integrate third-party systems such as ad servers, audience measurement tools, and analytics platforms.
- Analytics Tools: Strong understanding of analytics tools and techniques, such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or proprietary systems for real-time data reporting and optimization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in product management, with at least 2-3 years in AdTech within media and entertainment.
- Proven track record of delivering successful AdTech products in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong understanding of both technical and business aspects of AdTech and media platforms.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and present complex information to stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with agile product development methodologies.
- Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure and services (AWS, GCP, etc.).
- Knowledge of audience measurement standards such as Nielsen and Comscore.
